St. Peter and St. Paul. Bilsington. Kent.
Although the current church dates from the 12th Century, a church was recorded on this site in the Domesday book of 1086 ( probably a Saxon Church ).
The church was cared for by the ordained monks of the nearby Saint Augustine’s Priory until the Reformation in 1535.
The church was described as a ruin in the Archbishops report of 1573 and subsequently underwent fairly major repairs in the late 16th century.
