Is Mirrorless Really Living Up to Its Purpose: A look at whether or not mirrorless cameras are living up to being smaller as a whole. We’ll look at various systems and see whether or not this is true. For those who don’t remember, the original point of mirrorless cameras was to be smaller and lighter than DSLRs. And now that DSLRs are pretty much done with, we’re looking at the progress mirrorless has made.
Manual Mode Doesn’t Necessarily Make You a Better Photographer: Modern cameras are so advanced that they can make decisions in a fraction of a second, and that can be the difference between us getting and missing the shot, and at the end of the day, getting the shot is our job as photographers. It’s time to stop thinking that shooting in manual mode makes you a better photographer than those who choose to lean on modes such as shutter and aperture priority. We’ll discuss what these modes do, and how liberating it can be to give up just a little bit of control.
The Age of the Superzoom: Recently there have been a few interesting superzoom lenses that have surfaced. Some are real and some are still reported to be real. We’re discussing some of these new lenses and talking about what we want from all the manufacturers.
